I used to be really good, but that was when it first came out. I didn't play it for 5 years or so like some people. (Although a few years after it came out, I DL'd a ton of player made campaigns that were great. Never got into the old Battlenet vs. unless I was beating my two buddies from home 1 vs 2, lol.) |

My wife starts her med school rotations Aug 2nd and will basically be living 1.5 hrs away from Monday thru Friday.

So I knew I had a "weight" bet with myself....but I preordered it a couple days ago ;)
Went to gamestop, gave them $5...got the code, went home, 4 hours later I was playing it
OHHHHHHHHHH YEAH!
It's FUN!
Way better then SC1 imo. Auto mining is awesome....group select is baller. Way more "b00b" friendly |

The game has been in beta for a while now so it's pretty "stable"
(changes are so small that they only effect the asian pros, not some n00b like myself)
I highly recommend getting it ;) It's FUN! |

Oh I know. But I figure I always have enough things to do and video games to play. May as well wait for the complete version that I end up paying $50 for.
Monster Hunter for Wii is fuuuun. Plus been looking forward to Red Dead Redemption for awhile. I love old school spaghetti westerns, game looks sick and is getting great reviews. |

You slowly build/upgrade your forces, but it's an RTS. So far I love it (haven't played the multiplayer yet though) |

Basically in the single player you can either continue on with the story line, or you can play "side mission" that earn you money. You can then spend that earned money to hire mercenaries, upgrade you forces (like have 6 people in a bunker instead of 4, or +10 health for marines)
Then when you continue on with the story the levels are easier ldo because you have better equipment.
It's FUN!!!! So far, it's my favorite RTS of all time (although sc 1 has been tried and true for 12 years, so maybe after the newness of SC2 we'll see if it's still my favorite of all time) |
